African Animal Sculptures

Year 6 worked for a day with two artists from The Ropewalk Gallery at Barton-on-Humber creating two large sculptures of a giraffe and an elephant.   These will form part of a display featuring the Africa work in our school entrance.   The animals were made from willow covered with tissue paper soaked in PVA glue.   This activity was a great opportunity for the children to show their initiative and team building skills.   A very enjoyable and productive day.

Making the Willow Sculpture Animals by Joshua and Harry

Welcome to all our children, their parents and visitors. Thank you for helping to raise £258 for Macmillan Cancer Support. As always, the Leys Farm Community work so hard for others. Our Harvest Festival is on 6 October. All food donated will go to support Scunthorpe Food Bank and their work to help less fortunate families in our town. Please help us to make our school as Nut Free as possible to support the safety of a pupil with a severe allergy.
