Welcome

Welcome to Leys Farm Junior School.

Welcome to our school website, we hope it will provide useful information for parents, children and visitors.

We are proud that our school has consistently achieved Good judgements in Ofsted inspections - the latest, in July 2013 judged us to be Good with Outstanding features.   This demonstrates our commitment to providing a high quality of provision for all our children.

Leys Farm Junior School serves the West side of Bottesford, which is a growing town to the south of Scunthorpe. It is one of a number of schools in the area, and takes children mainly from three schools, Enderby Road Infants, Bottesford Infants and Willoughby Road Primary. Most of the children go on to Melior Community College (http://www.meliorcc.co.uk) and Frederick Gough School. The school is in the North Lincolnshire LA, which has a supportive and friendly ethos.   Parents are able to make their choices during Year 5.

We want all children to be happy and successful here and we aim to give the best possible education we can. We firmly believe that all children need to work from their experiences, have achievable goals and be in a friendly, caring and supportive environment where all are valued for the talents and strengths they bring.   Above all, we ensure all our children are safe.

We strive to achieve quality in everything we do in school: the children’s work, the work presented to them and the school environment. We are proud of our children’s achievements and the work of the staff team.

We want there to be a real partnership between parents, the children, the governors and the staff based on trust, honesty and realism. With this understanding and agreement we are sure all children will fulfil the potential they bring to us.

We hope parents will visit our school to experience what we offer.
