We had a very successful Summer Fair, which raised £800. We will use this towards more outdoor fitness equipment, building on the success of our Trim Trail.
Our end of term raffle raised £135, some of which will be used to supplement the dinner times equipment.
The Year 6 children held an Enterprise Week and this raised £479 to enable them to sponsor a Harvest Garden in Africa. These quarter acre gardens are set up so they will allow 50 people to become self sustaining (www.harvestgardens.co.uk). They were also able to send £100 to the Red Cross for their Grenfell Tower Fund.
Our appeal, with the One Stop Shop (Eton Court) for groceries for the Scunthorpe Food Bank, was a great success. There were enough groceries to fill a car and these will go to boost the depleted stocks at the Food Bank, which does so much good work for local people.
Once again, Leys Farm has shown great generosity - thank you!
