We were delighted to welcome Nick Sharratt to our school on 26 June. Nick saw our display of creative work linked to his work and the exhibition at 20/21 in Scunthorpe. He said he was very impressed with the range of media used to recreate his artwork and the extremely high standard our children have achieved. He met Jack, who had written a letter to him earlier in the year, and Jake who won the Design a Sharracter Competition for North Lincolnshire children. He went to see our Daisy in the garden - where she is in a raised bed which says "Daisy Eat Your Peas". Nick thought the link with gardening was fantastic. He then led a one hour Draw-Along session for all our children and the Year 2 children at Enderby Road Infants. This engaged all the children (and the adults!) and produced some brilliant interpretations of his characters. We are very grateful to Nick for giving our children this wonderful, motivating experience, which was part of North Lincolnshire's Words Count initiative.
