Exciting things have been happening in Year 3 and Year 4 this term…

Children were lucky enough to have a visit from a Greek storyteller named Mikka. They were able to dress up and re-enact some of the more well-known Greek myths, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

In class we also talked about Pancake Day and why we celebrate Shrove Tuesday with pancakes. The children had lots of fun making and trying pancakes, some of whom it was their first time trying them.

Maths has been fun-filled this term; some children used their creativity to create their own version of Snakes and Ladders using their knowledge of multiplication. But the fun didn’t end at the classroom door; we have even been outside in the playground to learn about ordering and finding equivalent fractions.

Children in Year 3/4 were invited to take part in a mannequin challenge about reading. They creatively decided to spell out the word ‘books’ whilst reading. The creativity paid off and the children won a visit to the Baths Hall to see Nick Sharratt in April which we are all looking forward too!
